Has anyone tried the pain medicine, Theramine?

A friend of mine was instructed by her physician to take Theramine in conjunction with a narcotic for a work injury that happened 6 months ago. it is by rx only at her physicians office or mail order. Since taking theramine, she has completely eliminated the narcotic she was taking 4 x's a day b/c the theramine works great as a stand-alone. It's also good b/c the narcotics were making her "loopy" and she did not want to feel that way. She has no unwanted side-effects from the theramine. Theramine is defined as a medical food by the FDA. anyone have any experience with this or other medical foods? they seem to be treatment options of the future. I ask b/c of my chronic low-back pain.
